Custom Properties 4 includes most of the requests we received from users from the release of its successful predecessor, and it's the only actively developed version. It's a complete rewrite of Custom Properties 3.0 that takes advantage of the latest modifications of Joomla 4.x platform
Custom Properties 3.x for Joomla 3 is still supported but all the development occurs on the latest version.
Custom Properties for Joomla 2.5 and earlier versions have been retired.

1Supported third party components varies from version to version. See the Supported Extensions detailed list.
CP20 for J15 supports Eventlist, DOCman, Seyret videos, Phoca Gallery, BookLibrary. Some components are not yet available for J16. Support for other components can be added.
2 depends also capabilities of third party components
3 CP20 has a much improved native compatibility with Joomla core SEF. Some components of CP (e.g. mod_cpsearch) are inherently non SEF.
4 Theoretically speaking older versions of CP should support infinite fields and values too. Practically, browsers cut arrays longer than 200 elements. CP20 overcome this limit with a replacement mechanism for form posting.
