CP news show module - ordering problem

Hi,
I'm having problem with ordering in CP news show module.



As you can see from the screenshot I set the type: "contributi" and ordering "newer first", the filter works but the order is not newest first at all.

I run some test and I can't understand how it works, in this 2 screenshots you have "newest first" and "older first". Items have to be in the reverse order but they are not!




Could you help me?

We are positive that sorting by newest / oldest works.

I believe that in your case there is some kind of caching involved that prevents the module from taking into consideration the change of sorting parameter.

Try disabling the caching selectively in the module (Cp News Show Parameters > Advanced > Caching = No Caching), or even at global level (System > Global Configuration > System > System Cache = OFF), and see if it makes a difference.

I tried your solution but nothing change.

Here is the backend configuration for the module with newest first:

When I change the configuration to "older first" this is the result





As you can see the order change (so I assume it's not a cache problem) from A-B-C to B-A-D but it's not the right one and it's not even an order!

If I check on the tag assignement, the newest would be another item:




I made different check with different tag and sections but I can't figure out which is the logic of the order it shows me.
