I want to use the group tags feature but the colons (name = melting_temperature:low and label = Melting temperature: low) are stripped from field label and value after saving. I'm using version Version 2.2.2 (2012-04-29).
I work around this now by directly inserting the tags in the database table.
Btw; the tags are not represented in groups in the frontend.

colons are reserved chars for Custom Properties. That's why the get stripped.
Also for Joomla colons are somehow of reserved (they're used when building categories and articles "slugs").
I suggest to use a different char (equal sign?)
