Upgrading from J 1.5 to J 2.5, using PHPMyAdmin

I am having this same issue where when I go to change anything in my custom properties or add a new custom property I get the following error:

Error while saving: TableCpfield: :store failed
Unknown column 'required' in 'field list' SQL=INSERT INTO `xxxx_custom_properties_fields` (`id`,`name`,`label`,`field_type`,`modules`,`published`,`required`,`access`,`ordering`) VALUES ('0','color','color','select','','0','0','1','6')

I just upgraded my joomla 1.5 website to 2.5 using jupgrade and the Custom Properties plugin for JUpgrade - I followed the instructions located here:
