I am not getting any search results. I have noticed that plg_cptags under Check Directories show the following:
base public_html/plugins/content/cptags.php not installed when the install directory is public_html/plugins/content/cptags/cptags.php. Where is the configuration file that I need change to fixed this problem.
Also the Content Element in the menu item shows Not - Installed in the drop downbox whit no other options. I see the same thing in the mod_cpsearch options "Search scope restriction (optional)" where it says "Bind to content element" dropdown box. Is this a problem?
I am running Joomla 2.5.9 Custom Properties Version 2.3.3 (2012-11-18)

Most of the answers can be found into the following thread:
solidsystem.it/forum/8-cp-20-for-j1617-p...n-the-front-end.html
More likely than not the problem is caused by missing/wrong permissions of Cp fields.

I have checked the link you gave. The permissions are all set to Public on the Cp fields and on the articles themselves. It still shows up as no search results found. Where else do I need to look? The template I am using is from Joomlart called Community Plus.

I don't think the template alone is able to interfere with Custom Properties. We need to see your site to be able to understand what is happening and why.
